Mimecast offer a robust suite of online services to give you email anti-spam, anti-virus, impersonation protection (phishing / whaling), archiving and business email continuity services. The most popular SME Office 365 orientated options that we we can choose from are below along with pricing and brief service descriptions.

NB Pricing is correct in the UK as of April 2017 and may vary over time so please contact us for an accurate and up to date quote which can also include other options you might need like Large File Send services.

Foundation Services: (The Basics – same price up to 49 users):

Mimecast G1 SBE - £680 - Base level security (external spam and AV filtering)

Mimecast S1 SBE - £1,040 - Small Business Edition Enhanced security and full protection from targeted threats such as spear-phishing and whaling, plus basic data leak protection.

Mimecast D1 SBE - £1,000 - SBE Small Business Edition Data focused security with advanced data leak protection and controls.

Mimecast A1 SBE - £1,680 - Small Business Edition Journal only archiving with no gateway service (ie just archiving)

Bundles:

Mimecast M1 SBE - £1,920 - Small Business Edition Partial Targeted Threat Protection – URL and impersonation, base level and Compliance Security. Continuity services and 58 day retention for email recovery purposes only. SMS text feature may be used up to three times the typical average user (as per internal benchmarks).

Mimecast M2 SBE - £2,320.00 - Small Business Edition Full Targeted Threat Protection – URL, attachment and impersonation, base level and Compliance Security. Continuity services and 58 day retention for email recovery purposes only. SMS text feature may be used up to three times the typical average user (as per internal benchmarks).

Mimecast M1A SBE - £2,640.00 - Small Business Edition Partial Targeted Threat Protection – URL and impersonation, base level and Compliance Security. Continuity services and 99 year archive. SMS text feature may be used up to three times the typical average user (as per internal benchmarks).

Mimecast M2A SBE - £3,000.00 - Small Business Edition Full Targeted Threat Protection – URL, attachment and impersonation, base level and Compliance Security. Continuity services and 99 year archive. SMS text feature may be used up to three times the typical average user (as per internal benchmarks).

Mimecast Account Setup (one off) £530

Support options:

Full Business Support (Telephone Support ) £810 annually.
NB Email / Online support is included / FOC.

All pricing is ex VAT.

Thinking about the above choices, your decision is going to be lead by if you need archiving and continuity or just the enhanced filtering that Mimecast offers. If just the antispam / AV / impersonation protection (that’s a biggie for solicitors for example – eg see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34425717 ) then the S1 might be a good base option. Or the M2 if continuity (ability to send and recieve email even when Office 365 is unavailable for any reason) is also a concern; or indeed the M2A SBE if you need Archiving and Full Security and Continuity (the works).

Increasingly we are seeing the benefits of having the full archiving as an ‘air gapped’ separate copy of email from Office 365 or MS Exchange – so that if the worst happens everything is still accessible in the Mimecast archive.
